Tequila, Tacos & Good Times: Inside Tulio’s Tacos and Tequila Bar
Some nights call for a quiet dinner. Other nights call for good tacos, a strong pour, and a room loud enough to match your mood. If you’re looking for Mexican food in Wilton Manors that can do both without missing a beat, you’re in the right place. Here’s a look inside what makes a night with us different.
The Tacos That Started It All
Every great night with us starts the same way: with a taco that doesn’t need extra dressing up to impress you. Our Al Pastor is a longtime favorite, slow-marinated pork with a sweet, smoky edge that’s built layer by layer instead of rushed. If you’re leaning toward something heartier, our Birria and Carne Asada bring rich, savory depth to every bite.
Craving something from the coast instead? Our Grouper and Lobster tacos bring fresh, briny flavor to the table, and our Cauliflower tacos get the same attention to detail, so vegetarians never feel like they’re eating an afterthought. That care carries through the rest of our menu too. Burritos, enchiladas, small plates, and a genuinely thoughtful vegetarian lineup all get made with the same house-made salsas that bring extra flavor to every dish. If you want to see what’s waiting for you before you visit, take a look at our menu and start planning your order now.
A Tequila List Built for Explorers
Good tacos deserve a good pour, and for us, a good pour is just as important as a great taco. At Tulio’s Tacos and Tequila Bar, tequila isn’t a side note; it’s an important part of the experience we offer. We pour over 100 tequilas and mezcals, ranging from crisp, unaged Blancos to Añejos aged one to three years for slower sipping. You’ll find recognizable names like Casamigos, Teremana, and 818 alongside a selection of bottles that gives you plenty to explore.
If you’re newer to agave spirits, ask your bartender to walk you through the tiers. Blanco is unaged and clean, straight from the still. Reposado rests for a few months and picks up a rounder character. Añejo takes the longest, built for sipping slowly instead of shooting quickly. We also carry a proper mezcal selection if you’re after that smoky, earthy depth that tequila alone doesn’t give you.
The Atmosphere That Keeps Wilton Drive Loud
You’ll hear us before you see us, and that’s exactly the point. Walk toward the patio on a weekend night, and the energy hits you first, music, laughter, and the clink of glasses being refilled. We didn’t build a quiet dining room; we built a place that feels alive. Whether you’re grabbing a casual dinner with friends or turning a birthday into a full-blown celebration, our outdoor seating gives you room to settle in and enjoy the South Florida evening instead of rushing through it.
Our week has a rhythm to it. Fiesta Hour runs weekdays from 5 to 6 p.m. with $5 house and frozen margaritas, Mexican draft beer, and fresh guacamole. Margarita Mondays keep it simple with $7 house margaritas on the rocks or frozen. Taco Tuesdays bring $1 off every individual taco alongside $5 cold Mexican beers and $8 Teremana Blanco shots. Midweek, Wine-down Wednesdays cut everything wine-related in half, glasses and bottles both, and Thirsty Thursdays pair $9 Tito’s mixers with $9 crispy taquitos. And if the night runs long, Loco for Locals keeps things going Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. until close, with $2 off all tacos and $2 off all drinks for anyone still hungry after the crowd thins out.
The People Behind the Plates
Great food and a great pour only get you halfway there. The rest comes down to who’s serving it to you. Our kitchen is led by a chef who came to the U.S. from El Salvador and started out washing dishes before teaching himself to cook. He worked through kitchens like The Cheesecake Factory, J. Alexander’s, and Seasons 52 before building a menu shaped by his own journey. That history is why our salsas taste homemade instead of store-bought, and it’s why he still walks the floor on busy nights to check in on the people eating his food.
That same care shows up in our service. We’re locally owned and proudly LGBTQ+-welcoming, which shapes how every guest gets treated the moment they sit down. You’re not a ticket number here. It’s the reputation we work to earn with every guest, shift after shift.
Weekends, Reinvented
If weeknights are about tacos and tequila, weekends are their own event entirely. Our Saturday and Sunday brunch runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., paired with a $21 bottomless mix-and-match beverage menu that covers mimosas, Bloody Marys, Aperol Spritz, and rosé. It’s the kind of brunch that turns into an afternoon without anyone planning for it to. We also rotate limited-time dishes and seasonal cocktails through our menu regularly, so if it’s been a month since your last visit, there’s a good chance something new is waiting for you this time around.
Planning something bigger than a weekend brunch? Our catering and private event options are built around your guest count, whether that’s a birthday, a work gathering, or just an excuse to bring this same energy to your own space.
Getting Here Is the Easy Part
A great night shouldn’t get complicated by logistics, so here’s what you need to know before you show up. We’re located at 2150 Wilton Dr in Wilton Manors, with street parking available along Wilton Drive and NE 21st Court, and the Hagen Park lot sitting directly across the street if you’d rather not circle the block. Our kitchen stays open every night until midnight, so there’s rarely a bad time to walk in, and Our weekend nights can be lively, so planning ahead can help you make the most of your visit.
Why This One Sticks With People
There’s no shortage of places on Wilton Drive serving tacos and margaritas. What separates the ones people actually remember is everything happening around the plate: a chef who cooks with real history behind him, a tequila list deep enough to explore for months, a patio that turns strangers into regulars, and a team that treats every visit like it matters.
That combination is what makes us feel less like a stop for dinner and more like a standing plan. If you’re ready to see it for yourself, reserve your table and come experience what makes a night with us worth remembering.
